Job summary

Honda South Carolina Manufacturing seeks a Reliability Development Engineer to validate body and chassis strength, durability, and marketability against internal targets. You will deliver full vehicle computational and testing results while expanding your technical know-how in automotive development.

The candidate should have a B.S. in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with 0–6 years of experience, strong data analysis, CAD/FEA skills (CATIA/SolidWorks, Abaqus/Nastran), data acquisition, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or equivalent.
• 0–6 years of engineering experience based on education.
• Proficient with CAD tools CATIA or SolidWorks for surface modeling.
• Experience with FEA software (Abaqus, Nastran, HyperMesh, Ansa, Meta, LS-DYNA).
• Data acquisition software experience and scripting in Java, Python, MATLAB.
• Ability to communicate concerns and ideas in a remote work environment.

Responsibilities

• Produce and analyze engineering data using pre-set tools, methods, and formats.
• Plan, prepare, and coordinate exterior performance tests and testing materials.
• Support tests physically, ensuring test setups and plans are followed.
• Prepare documentation for technical leadership review per schedule.
• Coordinate and execute root cause analysis, countermeasures, and improvements.
