Job summary

ALTEN Technology USA is seeking a Closures Systems Engineer in California to lead mechanical development for vehicle closure systems and ensure structural integrity and manufacturability. You will design panels, latches, hinges, and hardware interfaces using CAD, coordinating with manufacturing and design teams to meet Class A surface and environmental requirements.

The role requires 3+ years in production vehicle development with CAD experience, DVP&R planning, and supplier coordination.

Qualifications

• Lead sub-system mechanical development and integration of closure systems (sheet metal, door latches, hinges, hood/tailgate hardware).
• Design closure inner/outer panels, reinforcements, and interfaces using CAD (3DX/CATIA).
• Package and integrate moving mechanical components including hinges, latches, checks, and seals, ensuring proper kinematics and clearance.
