Job summary

ALTEN Technology USA is seeking a senior automotive engineer to lead component and system engineering efforts for vehicular platforms. You will create CAD concepts, analyze packaging, and collaborate with suppliers and customers to drive design through production.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in automotive engineering, proficiency in CATIA CAD, GD&T, and DFMA, and strong problem-solving and teamwork. On-site position in Plymouth, MI with competitive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of automotive/commercial vehicle engineering experience.
• Proficiency in CATIA CAD (3Dx or V5).
• GD&T and tolerance analysis, DFMA principles.

Responsibilities

• Define component and system engineering requirements.
• Create CAD models, drawings, and engineering releases.
• Perform packaging, tolerance, and feasibility studies.
• Support CAE, prototype builds, testing, sourcing and validation activities.
• Resolve design, manufacturing, quality, and launch issues.
• Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers.
