Job summary

VASCOR, LTD. seeks dependable Rail Loaders to support daily automotive rail yard operations. You will load and unload vehicles from railcars, position them safely, and ensure they are securely fastened for transport.

Responsibilities include placing vehicles, applying brakes and wheel chocks, and reporting any issues. On-the-job training is provided, with weekly pay and comprehensive benefits as part of a safety-focused team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Basic driving skills. Valid Driver's License is required.
• Ability to follow instructions and established safety procedures.
• Strong attention to detail when handling and securing vehicles.
• Dependable, punctual, and committed to completing assigned work.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Professional attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
• Previous railroad, automotive, warehouse, or material-handling experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload vehicles from railcars safely and efficiently.
• Identify vehicles designated for loading and move them to and from railcars.
• Properly position and secure vehicles inside railcars.
• Set vehicle hand brakes as required during loading and unloading operations.
• Install wheel chocks to prevent vehicle movement.
• Apply railcar door seals after loading is complete and doors are secured.
• Release railcar hand brakes as required by established procedures.
• Follow all company safety procedures and operational guidelines.
• Identify and report quality concerns, potential vehicle damage, and opportunities for process improvement.
• Work cooperatively with team members to meet daily production and customer requirements.
• Support rail loading operations with a production capacity of up to 24 railcars per week, operating five days per week.
