Zusammenfassung

CPKC is hiring an Auto Loader in Illinois to unload new vehicles from railcars and prepare them for distribution. The role requires outdoor, active work, strong attention to safety, and the ability to work varied shifts including overnights and weekends.

You will operate in a rail yard environment with heavy equipment and multiple safety procedures. Responsibilities include handling vehicles with care, moving and parking them, and maintaining awareness of surrounding rail activity while

Qualifikationen

• High School Graduation or GED equivalent.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including climbing ladders up to 20 feet.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to follow written instructions or training.
• Strong safety mindset in a safety-sensitive environment.
• Willingness to work across all shifts including nights, holidays and weekends.

Aufgaben

• Unload new vehicles from railcars and handle them with care to keep them pristine.
• Safely move and park brand-new vehicles as part of the logistics process.
• Work outdoors in a clean, maintained environment following safety procedures.
• Remove rail chocks from tires to prepare unloading.
• Lift, position and lay bridge plates for safe access between rail cars.
• Perform work in confined spaces between rail cars and vehicles.
• Maintain three points of contact when climbing in/out of rail cars.
• Maintain situational awareness of rail equipment, vehicles, and personnel.
• Update system as required once work is completed.
