Job summary

The Quality Intern role at Dorman Products is an entry-level opportunity for students actively pursuing an engineering-related degree. Based at our US operations, you will learn how to investigate customer complaints, assist in containment and root-cause analysis, and support cross-functional teams on corrective actions.

You will work with QE’s to determine root causes for returned product, participate in product development and reverse engineering, and help implement controls to prevent

Qualifications

• Actively pursuing a technical degree in an engineering-related discipline.
• Capable to learn how to perform product qualification testing.
• Ability to learn to use inspection tools and test equipment.
• Automotive product experience is a bonus.
• Computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly MS Excel.

Responsibilities

• Understand primary types of customer complaints
• Assist in containment and determination of root cause for customer product satisfaction gaps
• Work with QE’s in determining root cause for returned product
• Participate in cross-functional teams investigating issues
• Support product development and reverse engineering functions
• Support local site quality and operations
• Help to implement controls to prevent reoccurrence on nonconformances
