Job summary

General Motors LLC Arlington Assembly seeks a Quality Engineering Manager to lead quality engineering execution in a high-volume manufacturing environment. This onsite role drives APQP for launches, PFMEA-based risk reduction, and cross-functional collaboration to elevate Cadillac product execution toward Tier 1 luxury standards.

The successful candidate will manage a team of quality engineers, mentor talent, and deliver measurable improvements in manufacturing execution and customer experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of engineering experience, preferably automotive.
• Strong APQP, PFMEA, and control plan experience.
• Technical problem solving with root cause analysis.
• Experience with variation reduction and SPC.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of quality engineers, providing guidance and performance feedback.
• Oversee APQP initiatives for new product launches and engineering changes.
• Apply PFMEA to identify risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Manage PRTS to document, analyze, and resolve quality issues with corrective actions.
• Provide leadership in problem solving to identify root causes and prevent recurrence.
• Champion variation reduction using statistical analysis and lean principles.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain to embed quality requirements.
• Monitor key quality metrics and report trends to senior management.
• Ensure compliance with internal quality standards and regulatory requirements.
