Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing seeks a Quality Engineer for its Pontiac, MI plant on 1st shift (7 AM – 4 PM). You will monitor production inputs/outputs to meet customer quality requirements, support Safe Launch, PPAP, and APQP activities, and drive root-cause analysis with the floor teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 5 years in related quality/engineering roles.
• Strong knowledge of APQP/PPAP processes and quality systems.
• Ability to travel or visit customer sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Conduct ongoing analysis of production processes to ensure quality requirements.
• Lead Safe Launch and PPAP activities for new parts.
• Maintain and update control plans and FMEA with floor input.
• Serve as a focal point for customer quality concerns and resolutions.
• Direct quality technicians and provide necessary documentation and training.
