Job summary

PENN Automotive Inc is seeking a Quality Engineer to support the Quality Department in maintaining product and process compliance for cold-headed automotive fasteners. This role includes document and gage control, nonconforming material disposition, inspection and calibration activities, and cross-functional support for continuous improvement.

Responsibilities cover IATF compliance, MSAs and PPAP coordination, and problem-solving using root-cause analysis.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or 7 years of equivalent experience.
Experience with 100% inspection using micrometers, calipers, and ring/plug gauges.
Working knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 and IATF requirements.
Proficiency with company databases and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

Maintain control of production documents, records, and gages.
Determine disposition of internal and supplier nonconforming product.
Order lab chemicals and calibration services.
Support Quality Technicians and the PPAP Coordinator as required.
Perform defective-part analysis to support root cause investigations.
Apply structured problem-solving methods—root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions—per IATF.
Perform process and product audits.
