Mural Group is seeking a Quality Engineer for our Morganfield, Kentucky facility to own the APQP process and manage PPAP submissions. You will drive 8D corrective actions and maintain IATF 16949 certification, working closely with customers and suppliers to resolve quality issues.

You will also create/control plans and work instructions, and operate the CMM for dimensional layouts, ensuring product quality meets OEM expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a relevant technical field.
• 1–3 years of quality engineering experience in automotive or industrial manufacturing.
• Active APQP and PPAP ownership experience - submitting packages, coordinating customer approvals, maintaining logs.
• IATF 16949 or TS-16949 quality system experience including audit participation.
• 8D and structured problem-solving experience (TOPS / GPS).
• CMM operation experience preferred.
• SPC and GD&T familiarity.
• Direct customer-facing quality experience.

Responsabilités

• Own the technical quality function for the plant - manage APQP through manufacturing and maintain IATF 16949 certification.
• Coordinate and prepare PPAP packages and engage with customers during APQP meetings and sign-offs.
• Develop and implement 8D corrective actions for internal and customer issues.
• Create and maintain control plans and work instructions.
• Operate and program the CMM for dimensional layouts.
• Serve as quality liaison with suppliers on product quality concerns.
• When the Quality Manager is unavailable, represent the customer’s needs internally.
