Key People in North Carolina is seeking a Plant Quality Engineer to support quality functions and ensure compliance with customer specifications. The role uses AIAG tools (APQP, PFMEA, PPAP, MSA, SPC) to resolve quality concerns and to lead audits of design documentation and supplier quality systems.

The ideal candidate has a BS degree and automotive industry experience, strong communication and problem-solving skills, and knowledge of IATF 16949 quality systems.

Formación

• BS or BA required
• Experience in Automotive Industry and IATF 16949 quality systems
• Experience with APQP and quality tools (8D, PFMEA, PPAP)
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Experience in Lean manufacturing techniques

Responsabilidades

• Utilize AIAG quality tools (Control Plan, PFMEA, PPAP, APQP, MSA, SPC) to resolve quality concerns.
• Manage internal and external quality concerns, fast-track responses, and pareto analysis of defects.
• Act as customer support and investigate customer complaints.
• Assist with continuous improvement activities such as SPC and capability studies.
• Assist with IATF 16949 activities and supplier quality issues.
• Create and maintain PPAP status with customers; review holds and disposition of products.
• Organize rework/sorting operations and ensure proper documentation.
