Top Echelon Software, LLC. in Wilson, NC seeks a Plant Quality Engineer to support quality functions and review design documentation for compliance with customer requirements. You will apply AIAG tools to resolve quality concerns and drive improvements across internal and supplier quality systems.

The role emphasizes IATF 16949 activities, PPAP status management, and corrective actions, with a focus on customer satisfaction and product quality across the plant.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree (BS or BA) required.
• Automotive industry experience required.
• Knowledge of IATF 16949 Quality Systems.
• Experience with the APQP system.
• Exceptional communications skills and problem solving.
• Experience in Lean Manufacturing Techniques.

Responsabilidades

• Utilize core AIAG quality tools (Control Plan, PFMEA, PPAP, APQP, MSA, SPC) to resolve quality concerns.
• Manage internal and external quality concerns and conduct fast-track responses.
• Investigate customer complaints and act as customer support.
• Assist with continuous improvement activities and capability studies.
• Assist with IATF 16949 activities.
• Manage/interface customer quality system and address supplier quality issues.
• Create and maintain PPAP status with customers.
• Review disposition of products on hold and organize rework.
• Implement corrective actions and resolve quality problems.
• Create/update job books to set standards and customer specifications.
• Use 8D, 5Why, and other problem-solving techniques.
• Audit problematic jobs and drive improvements with manufacturing leaders.
• Perform audits to support plant function and safety compliance.
• Supervise vendor quality control and calibration of measuring equipment.
