Job summary

SLPT Automotive seeks a Product Development Engineer to lead mechanical and mechatronic pump projects for automotive OEMs across NA and Europe. You will drive concept-to-launch design, liaise with customers, and guide APQP activities to ensure on-time, high-quality product introductions.

Ideal candidates bring strong mechanical engineering foundations, CAD proficiency (NX CATIA), and a collaborative, cross-functional mindset to support global programs and future innovations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical/Mechatronic Engineering or related field.
• Experience in automotive product development and APQP processes.
• Proven ability to manage complex programs with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of mechanical/mechatronic pump systems from concept to production.
• Serve as engineering liaison with automotive OEMs and customers.
• Drive APQP execution, program timing, and deliverables.
• Analyze test results, implement design improvements, and validate performance.
• Prepare engineering documentation and release packages.
• Collaborate with global teams and suppliers to support product launches.
