Job summary

thyssenkrupp Automotive is seeking a Project Manager to lead complex engineering initiatives focused on body shop construction and tooling. You will plan, execute, and control scope, cost, timing and quality while serving as the main customer interface and driving key decisions in cross-functional teams.

The role demands a mechanical or industrial engineering background, PMP certification, and proven leadership in large projects within the automotive sector.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related field is required.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Extensive experience in automotive or automotive supplier industry.
• Strong background in body shop construction and/or tool making.
• Proven experience managing complex, large-scale projects.
• Leadership experience in project or line management roles.
• Industrial/technical training with certification as a Technician.
• PMP certification or equivalent required.
• ThyssenKrupp Certified PM Professional or similar preferred.

Responsibilities

• Define and align project scope in collaboration with stakeholders and customers.
• Develop and formalize project mandates in line with agreed targets and objectives.
• Lead, coordinate, and control all project activities across cross-functional teams.
• Identify, elevate, and manage risks throughout the project lifecycle.
• Maintain and update project timelines and critical paths.
• Manage project costs, deadlines, and deliverables.
• Prepare monthly project status reports and forecasts.
• Serve as the primary customer contact for project-related matters.
• Drive customer satisfaction and collaborate with Business Development.
• Lead project meetings and facilitate key decisions.
• Ensure effective change management and claims handling.
• Maintain project documentation and reporting transparency.
• Manage project resources in alignment with line management.
• Support training development and execution for project teams.
• Ensure successful project acceptance and completion.
