Job summary

Boutique Recruiting Introductions, LLC (BRI) is seeking a Program Manager-Automotive responsible for overseeing projects throughout their lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the automotive industry and must be bi-lingual in English and either German or Spanish.

This role requires strong leadership skills and the ability to manage cross-functional teams effectively. The position entails managing project scope, maintaining records, and leading teams for optimal project outcomes in a global environment.

Flexibility for travel and working hours is expected, with up to 33% travel required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of automotive industry experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of automotive program management experience.
  • PMP certification preferred.
  • Proficient in project management tools.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Job Description

Our client has a direct hire opportunity available for a Program Manager-Automotive!

The ideal Program Manager will be bi-lingual in English and German or English and Spanish and is overall responsible for one or more projects as scheduled within the organization’s Product Development Process (PEP) from kick off to successful launch.

Responsibilities
  • Works on projects from kick off until project closure in a global team environment (internal, suppliers, customers)
  • Lead, manage, develop and train assigned team members (typical PE/AQP)
  • Assures that all legal, customer and organization’s project requirements are met
  • Maintains accurate project records within the Product Development Process (PEP), reports project status internally and to customers
  • Manages project scope changes in accordance with the organization’s change management system
  • Leads team to accomplish processes defined in the Product Development Process (PEP) to optimize project outcomes
  • Has project team work in the PDCA cycle to meet project milestones on time within the Product Development Process (PEP)
  • Contributes to standardization and continuous improvement
  • Solves project issues effectively in a global team environment
Qualifications
  • Bachelor degree (or bachelor equivalent) in engineering or a related field
  • Minimum 10 years automotive industry experience
  • Minimum 5 years of automotive program management experience
  • PMP certification preferred
  • Experience with wood, plastic injection molding, aluminum stamping/forming and carbon fiber molding technology preferred
  • Experience with interior/exterior automotive trim components preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional teams to project completion through effective communication and relationship building
  • Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, MS Project)
  • Proficient in PEP applicable project management tools and techniques such as project planning, budgets, cash flow, corrective actions, gate reviews, risk management, and VA/VE
  • Full professional proficiency in English; basic proficiency in German or Spanish is preferred
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills tailored to situation and audience
