KPIT in Dearborn, MI seeks a Product Owner/System Engineer to define and prioritise system features, align customer needs with engineering deliverables, and manage interfaces across subsystems. You will model with MBSE tools, support architecture validation, and apply Agile methodologies to drive value for automotive projects.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of System Engineering principles.
• Experience in automotive domain (ADAS/Chassis).
• Deriving capabilities, system requirements, interfaces, SysML artifacts.
• Hands-on with MagicDraw or similar MBSE tools on SysMLv2.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum/SAFe).
• Good analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as a Product Owner to define, prioritize, and manage system features and backlog.
• Ensure alignment between customer expectations and engineering deliverables.
• Understand automotive domain relevant to the project and translate needs into actionable requirements.
• Understand and manage interfaces between features and subsystems; ensure integration.
• Develop and maintain system requirements, boundary diagrams, and capability definitions; support architecture validation.
• Work with MagicDraw or MBSE tools for system modeling and documentation.
• Plan, track, and execute work based on Agile methodologies (Scrum/SAFe).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders; communicate with customers and leadership.
