Job summary

LyondellBasell is seeking a Technology Development Engineer to own PP compounded resins for automotive applications, guiding products from concept through OEM approval and ongoing support.

The role emphasizes problem solving, technical ownership, and cross-functional collaboration with manufacturing, suppliers, customers, and OEMs. Strong polymer science background and experience in compounding are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in polymer science or related field is required.
• Master’s or PhD preferred for advanced roles.
• Experience in polymer compound development is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of new polypropylene compounds for automotive applications from concept through commercialization.
• Support compound scale up, manufacturing readiness, quality planning, and OEM approval processes.
• Provide technical support for existing PP compound products.
• Serve as center of excellence for a defined set of raw materials and suppliers.
• Collaborate with suppliers to expand material capabilities and communicate best practices.
