Magna Powertrain seeks a Project Engineer to coordinate automotive engineering projects, manage changes, and drive cross‑functional initiatives. You will track milestones, lead teams through engineering and process changes, and ensure documentation and approvals are completed on time.

The role emphasizes APQP activities, quality planning, and continuous improvement, with collaboration across Engineering, Quality, Production, and Purchasing.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years in a technical/engineering role in automotive manufacturing.
• Experience with IATF 16949, ISO 14001; APQP and AIAG Core Tools.
• Experience with engineering changes and cross‑functional coordination.

Responsabilidades

• Support PM team in planning and executing projects.
• Lead division-wide change management, ensure approvals and execution.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams for changes and initiatives.
• Develop and maintain project timelines and milestones.
• Track progress, risks, and actions to leadership.
• Facilitate cross-functional meetings and follow through.
• Assess impact on quality, production, tooling, cost, timing.
• Manage documentation, approvals, trials, validations.
• Support APQP and quality planning in projects.
• Lead or support continuous improvement efforts.
• Work with Eng/Ops on practical product/process solutions.
• Assist in equipment/tooling/process implementation.
• Prepare CAD drawings, layouts, and technical info.
• Maintain project docs, CAD files, change records.
• Coordinate with customers, suppliers, internal teams.
• Support quoting and cost evaluations.
• Deliver project updates to management and customers.
• Contribute to reducing PPM and KPIs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
