Job summary

Magna Powertrain in Indiana seeks an engineer to plan and execute technical projects for new and existing products and to develop program schedules.

You will maintain strong relationships with suppliers and customers, ensure costs, quality, and timing targets are met, and support major product launches with extended hours when needed. Proficiency with CNC controls, PLCs, and robotics is valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field; 3+ years in a high-volume automotive Tier 1/2 environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to interface effectively with staff, vendors, customers, and employees.
• Experience with plant start-ups and major product launches preferred.
• Strong proficiency in project tracking, spreadsheets and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work extended hours during project launches as needed.

Responsibilities

• Plans and executes technical projects for new and existing products and develops program schedules.
• Maintains strong customer engineering relationships with dedication to customer program schedules.
• Works with suppliers in understanding and administering customer and governmental product requirements / specifications.
• Ensures costs, quality, timing, and other related aspects of project targets are met.
• Participates in continuous improvement efforts.
• Researches, recommends, and implements enhancements to products, processes, technology, etc.
