AUTOMOTIVE PORTER/DETAILER

Job Description

• Detailing and helping organize our vehicle inventory.
• Assisting the sales department in various ways.
• Keeping the vehicle lots neat and orderly, moving cars as directed.
• Cleaning interior and exterior of vehicles, including trunks and glove compartments.
• Policing dealership grounds.
• Wearing company uniform.
• Parking vehicles from service.
• Cleaning the service department drive, write-up area, and shop.
• Emptying trash.
• Driving shuttle.
• Washing service customer vehicles.
• Applying cleaning solutions and removing grease from engines.
• Assisting technicians with cleanliness and organization.
• Supporting property maintenance and appearance.
• Greeting customers courteously.
• Completing training and OSHA right-to-know requirements.
• Following policies and procedures.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good work ethic, organized, positive attitude.

Education and Experience

• No retail experience necessary.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Physical Requirements

• Work environment can be loud.
• Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, and handling tools.
• Ability to lift 40 pounds.
• Exposure to moving mechanical parts, battery acid, gasoline, and chemicals.
• Likely exposure to exhaust fumes and airborne particles.
