Job summary

GLS North America in Warren, MI is seeking a Porter to move and shuttle vehicles within the property and to direct delivery traffic as needed. You will work closely with team members to coordinate deliveries and pickups, ensuring vehicles are ready for entry or exit from the shop.

The role requires a valid chauffeur's license, a reliable, self-starting attitude, and the ability to work in a garage and outdoors in varying weather. 18+ with a HS diploma or GED is required.

Qualifications

• Valid Chauffeur's License with an adequate driving record.
• Must be a self-starter.
• Must be a reliable team player.
• At least 18 years of age with a High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to get in and out of all sizes of vehicles.
• This position is performed both inside a garage and outside so weather conditions may include extreme heat and cold.
• 75% of the time this position will be completed while walking and 25% while sitting.

As a Porter, you are responsible for vehicle movement within the property. Occasionally you will shuttle vehicles outside of the property as well. In addition to vehicle movement, you will also direct traffic throughout the facility. This involves communication with team members for deliveries and pick-up of vehicles and materials.

SalaryOverview:

The pay rate for this role starts at $15 - $16 per hour based on experience.

Hours:

The hours for this role are Monday through Friday 6am to 2:30 pm.
