Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass, part of The Boyd Group, is hiring a Porter in Chandler, AZ. You will assist with vehicle prep, cleaning, and general shop upkeep to ensure every vehicle leaves in pristine condition.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced collision repair setting located in the Phoenix area.

Responsibilities

• Pre-washes customer vehicles prior to repairs.
• Exterior and interior cleanup of customer vehicles after repairs.
• Maintain daily housekeeping of the shop and office areas.
• Transport vehicles to sublet locations for repairs.
• Help maintain parking lots and grounds in a neat condition.
• Clean vehicle interiors and exteriors after repairs.
• Transport customer vehicles to sublet locations for further repairs.

Job Description

The Porter complements quality repairs by cleaning customer vehicles prior to vehicle delivery. Maintains the appearance and cleanliness of shop and office facilities.

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Maintain the daily housekeeping of the interior of the office, including daily emptying of garbage cans, cleaning the floors, and dusting the countertops and work area.
• Maintain the daily housekeeping of the interior of the production area, emptying of waste cans, sweeping the floors, disposing of unwanted vehicle parts, and placing tools and equipment in their proper location.
• Maintain parking lots and grounds in a neat and orderly fashion, including shoveling sidewalks when necessary
• Pre-washes customer vehicles prior to repairs beginning.
• Exterior and interior cleanup of customer vehicles after repairs are complete
• Transport of customer vehicles to sublet locations for repairs

Education and/or Experience Required

• High School diploma / GED preferred
• Ability to multitask
• Automotive experience preferred
• Clear close vision required 18 years or age or older
• Valid Driver's license
• Strong attention to detail

Compensation Details

HOURLY $15.50 - $18.50 / Hour Compensation is commensurate with skill, education and experience.
