Job summary

GLS North America is hiring a Porter to wash, detail, and stage vehicles and assist with day-to-day operations at our Auburn Hills location. This role supports the automotive services and logistics operations with attention to quality and efficiency.

The position runs Monday through Friday, 10:00 am to 6:30 pm, with starting pay at $18 per hour based on experience. The team emphasizes safety, reliability, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Must meet company background check and drug screen requirements.
• Valid Driver's License with an adequate driving record.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Wash, detail, and stage vehicles.
• Assist with miscellaneous tasks for day-to-day operations.
• Transport disposed vehicles to auction lots.
• Install license plates on vehicles.
• Fuel vehicles when required.
• Sweep the yard and place cars in their correct locations.
• Complete a final inspection for delivery readiness.

As a Porter, you will be washing, detailing, and staging vehicles, as well as assisting with other miscellaneous tasks or projects that are crucial for day-to-day operations.

Salary Overview

The pay rate for this role starts at $18 per hour based on experience.

Hours

The hours for this role are Monday through Friday, 10 am to 6:30 pm.

Porter Responsibilities Include

• Drive vehicles through the car wash, dry, and detail the vehicle.
• Transport disposed vehicles to auction lots.
• Install license plates on vehicles.
• Fuel vehicles when required.
• Sweep the yard and look for cars in the aisle to put in the correct location.
• Complete a final inspection to ensure the vehicle is ready for delivery to the customer.

Porter Qualifications And Skills

• Must meet company background check and drug screen requirements
• Valid Driver's License with an adequate driving record.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must possess a High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
