Job summary
Talent Advantage Group is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Controls / Automation Technician for a large automotive facility in Veedersburg, Indiana. This role troubleshoots, maintains, and upgrades Allen-Bradley PLCs, ladder logic, and FANUC robots on a three-shift operation.
Applicants should diagnose electrical/control faults, read schematics, and support upgrades, commissioning, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3-5 years in manufacturing controls or PLC troubleshooting.
- Read, interpret, and troubleshoot PLC ladder logic.
- Experience with RSLogix 500 or comparable Allen-Bradley software.
- Experience troubleshooting FANUC robots in automated environments.
- Strong understanding of industrial electrical controls and sensors.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot Allen-Bradley PLC-controlled equipment and diagnose faults.
- Read ladder logic and identify equipment issues affecting production.
- Monitor PLC I/O, fault conditions, and sequences to resolve problems.
- Support PLC modifications, upgrades, retrofits, and automation improvements.
- Assist with startup, commissioning, and troubleshooting after repairs.
- Troubleshoot FANUC robots and robotic automation processes.
- Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to minimize downtime.
- Support automation across stamping, painting, welding, and assembly lines.
- Maintain documentation of troubleshooting and maintenance actions.
