Job summary

6 Degrees Search seeks an experienced Quality Engineer to ensure plastic injection molded components meet customer, internal, and regulatory requirements. The role supports production, engineering, and suppliers by applying automotive quality tools and driving corrective actions.

Responsibilities include leading SPC, PFMEA, control plans, APQP, and PPAP; performing root cause analysis and maintaining IATF 16949 compliance; and acting as primary quality contact for customer concerns and supplier

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or related field (or equivalent 5 years of experience).
• Minimum 2–5 years of Quality Engineering experience in automotive manufacturing.
• Strong working knowledge of plastic injection molding processes.
• Experience with SPC, PFMEA, Control Plans, APQP, and PPAP.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain quality systems for assigned projects.
• Lead and/or participate in SPC implementation and discipline.
• Maintain compliance with IATF 16949 and customer requirements.
• Support audits, corrective action responses, and supplier quality activities.
• Lead APQP activities and submit PPAP documentation.
