Job summary

Baxter Enterprises LLC, a full-service supplier to the automotive plastics industry in Winchester, TN, has an immediate opening for a Quality Engineer. You will support IATF 16949 quality systems, drive continuous improvement, and collaborate with customers and production teams to ensure top quality.

Qualifications include experience in automotive plastic injection molding, strong communication, and knowledge of 8-D/ASQ problem solving; travel to customer sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience in Quality Engineering in automotive plastic injection molding environment preferred.
• Understanding of IATF 16949 quality systems and processes to ensure company and customer standards are met is a plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including proficiency in Microsoft applications.
• Knowledge of 8-D/ASQ Problem Solving methodology to improve product quality.
• Knowledge of SPC, CMM, PPAP, DOE and continuous improvement desired.
• Self-motivated, able to work with minimal direction.

Responsibilities

• Supports IATF 16949 quality system requirements; assists with quality system maintenance, root cause analysis, and corrective action.
• Conducts continual improvement activities to enhance the quality system and handles internal/external quality complaints.
• Interacts with customers, production and management; assists with transfer of new products to production per approved data.
• Interacts with quality auditors to ensure products and processes comply with quality management system requirements; conducts audits and closes findings.
• Creates and maintains quality documentation such as quality manuals, procedures, work instructions and reports; may travel to customer sites.
