Job summary

Venteon is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager in Lima, Ohio to lead plant engineering operations within an automotive manufacturing environment. You will guide a team of engineers, drive productivity, quality, and process improvements, and partner with cross-functional leaders to meet operational goals.

The role emphasizes technical leadership, capital project execution, and a strong focus on safety, environmental, and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field.
• Experience leading engineering teams in automotive manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of plant engineering and production operations.
• Proven ability to implement process improvements and optimize performance.
• Experience with capital projects and equipment installations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of Process Engineers, Industrial Engineers, and other technical personnel to support manufacturing operations.
• Oversee plant engineering activities to ensure production efficiency, product quality, and operational performance.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, cost reduction, quality, and manufacturing process optimization.
• Provide technical leadership and support to manufacturing, maintenance, quality, and other plant departments.
• Collaborate with plant leadership, corporate engineering, and customers to resolve technical challenges and support operational objectives.
• Establish departmental goals, manage engineering resources, and develop team members to achieve performance expectations.
• Support new equipment installations, capital improvement projects, and manufacturing process enhancements.
• Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, reduce downtime, and increase overall manufacturing efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with applicable safety, quality, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
• Lead cross-functional problem-solving efforts and support plant-wide continuous improvement programs.
