Job Title: Plant Controller

Our client is seeking an experienced Plant Controller responsible for financial reporting, general accounting support, forecasting, plant budgets, incentive investigation, capital budgeting, product costing, profitability reviews, and metrics preparation at the plant level.

Our client has been a leading plastics manufacturer supplying the automotive industry for over 40 years, with a focus on innovative research and development. They offer diverse support, from design concepts to engineered composites and extrusion technologies.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare financial statements and reports
• Conduct financial analysis and trend reporting
• Manage month-end closing, journal entries, and reconciliations
• Develop budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses
• Ensure compliance with financial policies
• Research and submit incentives from government programs
• Oversee capital budgeting, reviews, and audits
• Develop overhead rates and review variances
• Provide plant performance metrics for management
• Review product profitability and present findings
• Support special financial projects
• Review weekly Plant Status P/L with the General Manager
• Advise on financial matters and participate in facility meetings
• Manage BOM, testing accuracy, and month-end reports
• Participate in physical inventories and steering committees
• Assist with projects and corporate meetings as needed
• Sign off on CI Projects at month-end

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting
• 3-5 years controlling experience in manufacturing
• Experience with automotive suppliers preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Strong communication skills
