Job summary

Paycom is seeking a PDI Technician to assemble components for vehicles, reading blueprints and instructions to ensure correct fit and operation. You will verify specifications by measurement, troubleshoot discrepancies, and maintain a clean, safe workspace while supporting parts inventory and production flow.

The role requires experience in fabrication/assembly, knowledge of shop tools, forklift ability, and strong math and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in fabrication and assembly is required.
• Knowledge of shop tools (grinders, saws, sanders) is needed.
• Basic machining skills are desirable.
• Ability to read and understand written instructions, specifications, blueprints or work orders.
• Ability to drive or be trained to drive forklift; valid M class license.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and have a clean driving record.
• Strong reading, writing and speaking communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assemble components according to instructions and blueprints.
• Inspect connections for correct fit and secure parts.
• Measure components to verify specifications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve assembly deviations; notify supervisor if resources are needed.
• Maintain safe and clean work environment and comply with procedures.
• Monitor inventory and request supplies as needed.
