Job summary

Del Amo Motorsports Group is seeking a PDI/Porter to support our dealership in Los Angeles. You will assemble and PDI new units, move vehicles from receiving to the customer walk-around, and maintain the PDI area and service warehouse storage.

You’ll perform basic maintenance such as oil changes and tire changes, and assist technicians and advisors as needed. The role requires strong verbal communication, the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, and adherence to dealership

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with motor vehicles and shop equipment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and PDI new units.
• Process units from receiving to customer walk-around.

PDI / Porter Job Description

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Ability to assemble and PDI new units.
• Responsible for new units, starting from receiving to customer walk around as outlined in the PDI training procedures and guidelines.
• Responsible for organization and control of PDI area and service warehouse storage
• Capable of performing simple maintenance i.e.; oil changes, tire changes, etc
• Able to work under close supervision of PDI Manager and Service Manager.
• Abide by all dealership policies pertaining to the department.
• Follow company dress codes and be well groomed at all times.
• Any other specific duties deemed necessary for the overall success of the department and the dealership as a whole.
• Perform or support tooling design and fabrication, in-process and final inspection and production
• Learn to use ingenuity and mathematical calculations to make comp! icated set-ups.
• Assist all service personal i.e. advisors with receiving and pick up of customer units.
• Pickup and delivery of customer units as required.
• Assist Technicians and shop Forman with control of all units.
• Pre-stage tech's next unit
• Clean completed units
• Keep warehouse organized.

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Prefer interest or experience in Motorsports industry
• Prefer technical and/or mechanical aptitude.
• Ownership of tools.
• Familiarity of product lines sold in dealership.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior experience in the operation of Motor Vehicles conventional machine shop equipment in the creation of close-tolerance parts, either through work experience or as a hobby.
• Require strong, excellent verbal & solid communication skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure in fast-paced environment with multiple strict deadlines.
