Sheehy Auto Stores seeks a detail-oriented Payroll Supervisor to join our Payroll/HR team. This role supports the Payroll Manager across multiple automotive dealerships, supervising Payroll Coordinators and ensuring timely, accurate payroll, while safeguarding confidential information.

The ideal candidate has strong payroll knowledge, leadership skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Previous payroll experience required (multi-state a plus).
• Strong leadership and coaching skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Payroll Manager with weekly payroll processing for a multi-state automotive organization.
• Supervise, train, and support Payroll Coordinators to ensure payroll activities are completed accurately and on time.
• Assign, prioritize, and monitor payroll tasks and workloads.
• Review Payroll Coordinator work for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
• Provide guidance and support in resolving payroll issues and employee inquiries.
• Respond to employee and management payroll questions promptly and professionally.
• Assist with new hire setup, employee changes, transfers, and terminations.
• Maintain accurate payroll records and support documentation.
• Help ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of employee payroll and personal information.
• Provide backup support for the Payroll Manager as needed.
• Perform other payroll and administrative duties as assigned.
