Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a Parts Specialist who delivers high quality service to retail and installer customers while supporting store management. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply and you will greet customers, advise on parts, and assist with professional customers as needed.

You will handle cash, process payments, and assist with returns, exchanges, and store operations. This role also includes occasional vehicle deliveries and on-site training to operate equipment.

Qualifications

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
• Ability to provide outstanding, friendly and professional customer service.
• Must be able to multitask, handling customers on the phone and in the store at the same time.
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired).
• Familiar with automotive parts and related sales processes (preferred).
• ASE certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Follow and promote all company customer service programs (Hi-5, Low Price Guarantee, Rock the Call, Related Selling, Rock the Lot, etc.).
• Greet retail/walk-in customers and assist in selecting merchandise.
• Assist managers and installers with professional customers as needed.
• Provide excellent service to customers calling the store and quote prices; suggest related items.
• Handle cash drawer, accept payments, make change, and process credit card transactions.
• Process exchanges and returns per policy.
• Address and resolve customer complaints in a friendly manner.
• Assist with image maker and planogram updates, stocking shelves, cleaning, etc.
• Perform daily tasks including stock counts, inventory adjustments, and returns to distribution center.
• Operate store equipment after training and approval.
• Provide in-store services (e.g., install wipers, test batteries, diagnose issues).
• Occasionally drive a delivery vehicle as needed.
• All other duties as assigned.
