Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking an Inventory/Parts Associate to support the recon process by identifying and ordering vehicle parts, coordinating with Procurement and recon technicians to ensure timely deliveries.

You will track parts, maintain inventory, and ensure accurate invoicing while upholding safety standards and a clean workspace. The role requires attention to detail and good communication across teams.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED and 3 years' related field experience, or alternative combinations as stated.
• Valid driver license required.
• 1–3 years of parts ordering experience in automotive field preferred.
• Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission.
• Mechanical aptitude with knowledge of automotive parts/accessories.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Client-driven with strong attention to detail.
• Physical requirements include standing, walking, lifting 1–15 pounds, and etc.
• Exposure to outdoor conditions and noise hazards.

Responsibilities

• Define specific parts to be ordered during recon processes and notify Procurement.
• Collaborate with recon technicians to identify required parts and communicate with Procurement.
• Track, receive, inventory, and distribute parts to meet delivery expectations.
• Notify Procurement of incorrect parts and manage returns.
• Maintain inventory levels through Procurement.
• Secure and control inventory to minimize loss.
• Maintain neat workspace and use safety equipment.
• Follow safety procedures and participate in safety activities.
• Process and store invoices and credits.
• Create snow tickets for wholesale parts updates/VCF.
• Order and track P cards parts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
