What is the role we are looking to fill?

Automotive Parts Installer Technician: We are looking for someone who has at least one year of experience to help build out our service technical team. In this role, you assist with lube, oil, and filter changes, balancing and rotation of tires, and flushing cooling systems.

What Will you do?

  1. Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with CarShop standards.
  2. Install parts for our reconditioning team, including mounting tires and replacing batteries.
  3. Drain oil and refill with the required amount of oil, along with replacing oil and air filters.
  4. Inspect vehicle fluid levels and replenish as necessary.
  5. Check tire pressure and add air if needed.
  6. Communicate with the parts department to obtain needed parts.
  7. Examine assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended.
  8. Communicate with the service advisor immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed by the promised time.
  9. Document all work performed and recommended on the repair order.
  10. Ensure that customers' cars are kept clean and notify the service advisor immediately of anything that has happened to change the appearance or condition of the vehicle.

What Skills do you need?

  1. The ideal candidate will preferably have 1 year of in-shop experience or equivalent schooling.
  2. Great diagnostic and problem-solving abilities; proposes creative yet practical and cost-effective solutions to problems and process improvements.
  3. Solid people and communication skills; exemplifies integrity with follow-through on commitments and does not cut corners.
  4. Action-oriented; a "doer", achieving results despite lack of resources. Plans, prioritizes, and executes work to achieve the greatest result -- customer satisfaction, great service at the lowest cost.
  5. Steady and constant, always striving for excellence with sustained performance.
