Job summary

Burtness Chevrolet Buick GMC in Whitewater, WI is seeking a dependable Parts Counterperson to join our team. You will assist technicians, service advisors, and customers by identifying and ordering parts, receiving shipments, and maintaining inventory.

The role requires detail orientation, strong communication, and the willingness to cross-train as a Service Advisor when needed. We offer competitive pay, benefits, and a family-owned dealership culture in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Experience working with automotive parts and inventory management is preferred.
GM dealership experience is a plus.
Strong customer service and communication skills are essential.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Basic computer skills; Tekion experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Assist technicians, service advisors, retail customers, and wholesale customers with parts identification and ordering.
Receive, inspect, stock, and organize incoming parts shipments.
Maintain accurate inventory levels and assist with inventory counts.
Process special orders, returns, core returns, and warranty parts accurately and efficiently.
Communicate with manufacturers, vendors, and internal team members to ensure timely parts availability.
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient parts department.
Merchandise and maintain parts displays as needed.
Follow all company policies and safety procedures.
Cross-train and provide support as a Service Advisor when needed, including assisting customers, scheduling service appointments, and coordinating repair orders.
