Qualifications

• Previous parts retail sales experience.
• A valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Excellent follow-up skills, frequently communicating inventory and availability of parts.
• A professional appearance and work ethic.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Inform customers of companion part requirements and specials, ensuring the customer is exposed to the full product line.
• Notify Parts Manager of out-of-stock parts or shop materials that need immediate attention.
• Locate out-of-stock parts from outside sources and submit emergency order if necessary.
• Notify Service Advisor when special order parts are received.
• Follow-up on back-ordered parts.
• On a weekly basis, verify will-call and back-order files as well as vendor returns, and stock items not picked up.
• Assist outside sales representatives with their orders.
• Ensure all internal requests for parts are billed on service repair order.
• Maintain organized records of repair orders, invoices, insurance estimates and special-order parts.
• Assist Parts Manager in maintaining a lost sales tracking program.
