Napleton's Schaumburg Buick GMC is seeking a knowledgeable Automotive Parts Counterman to join our team. You will assist technicians and customers in identifying parts, track inventory, and locate parts when stock is depleted.

You will manage billing through the service department and ensure accurate records are kept. The role requires at least 1 year in auto parts sales, familiarity with dealership software (Tekion a plus), and strong computer skills.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in automotive parts sales or dealership parts department.
• Familiarity with dealership parts management software; Tekion experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist service technicians and retail customers in identifying and sourcing the correct parts for their vehicles.
• Track all incoming and outgoing parts inventory for the dealership.
• Locate and source available parts when dealership stock is depleted.
• Handle parts payment collection and ensure all parts are correctly billed through the service department.
• Package and ship parts back to the manufacturer when required and complete appropriate recordkeeping.
• Refer to parts manuals to identify the correct parts by make, model, and year.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient parts counter and stockroom.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and internal departments.
