Job summary

Ken Garff Hyundai Surprise is seeking a Parts Front Counter Sales Associate to join our team and support a busy parts department. You will assist customers, promote branded parts, and help keep inventory aligned with records while coordinating with the Sales Manager on accessory availability.

The role requires 2+ years in auto parts, a HS diploma or equivalent, and solid computer skills. A valid driver’s license and ability to lift up to 50 lbs are expected.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in auto parts department preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend job-related instructions and information.
• Customer empathy and problem-solving in a parts context.
• Strong computer skills and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Handle customer complaints tactfully and promptly per guidelines.
• Encourage sale of branded parts.
• Improve efficiency of customer/Parts Department interactions.
• Ensure accuracy between inventory and records.
• Refresh accessory displays and coordinate with Sales Manager for accessory vehicle availability.
• Monitor workflow and ensure timely completion and technician support.
• Make warranty and billing adjustments.
• Monitor backorders and ensure timely deliveries.
• Ensure dealership purchases are properly accounted for before payment.
• Tag parts to ensure full factory credit.
• Assist in collecting on overdue accounts.
• Notify special-order customers on arrival of parts.
