Halladay Auto Group is growing and seeking a Parts Counterperson in Cheyenne, WY. This role focuses on managing the parts sales process, assisting customers, and ensuring accurate pricing and stock control.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; prior auto parts sales experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and time management skills.
• Ability to read/interpret safety and maintenance documents.
• Ability to calculate figures including discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, % area, circumference, and volume.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Willing to submit to pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the parts sales process from start to finish.
• Communicate with staff and customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Converse effectively regarding customer parts status.
• Read and understand the parts catalog when looking up parts.
• Answer phone calls, provide price quotes and other information to customers.
• Review shop estimates to verify correct pricing.
• Provide high level service to internal and external customers.
• Pull/fill orders from stock and perform weekly stock checks.
• Notify parts manager of out-of-stock parts needing attention.
• Locate out-of-stock parts from outside source and submit an emergency order if necessary.
• Ensure internal requests for parts are billed on service repair orders.
• Receive payment from retail customers or obtain credit authorization.
