Job summary

BALISE AUTO SALES INC in Johnston, RI is seeking a Parts Counter Associate to manage parts inventory, assist customers, and coordinate with service and body shop teams. The role requires attention to detail and strong teamwork in a busy dealership environment.

The position offers hourly pay in the $16.00–$24.00 range, benefits, and opportunities to work with service departments to ensure accurate part fulfillment and pricing. Prior parts experience is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Experience in the automotive parts field.
• Customer service and organization skills.
• CDK knowledge preferred, but not required.
• Familiarity with vehicle products is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Tracking all incoming and outgoing parts for dealership
• Handling parts payment collection and ensuring parts are billed correctly through service and collision repair
• Packaging and shipping parts back to the manufacturer
• Complete appropriate record keeping, including tagging all parts with customer name and job number for easy reference
• Refer to parts manual (hard copy & electronic format) to identify exactly the right parts for the make, model, and year of vehicles being serviced
• Providing highest quality of customer service
• Answer phone calls providing price quotes and other information
• Notify Parts Manager of out-of-stock parts or materials that need immediate attention
• Notify Service Advisor and/or Customer when specialty parts have been received
• Notify the Body Shops when all parts have been arrived and when they will be delivered
• Assist in putting all order away in a timely manner
• Follow up on backordered parts
• Other duties assigned by the Parts Manager

• This position may require up to 0-5% travel
