Huffines Chevrolet Plano is seeking a Parts Counter Representative with at least two years of automotive dealership parts experience. You will assist customers in selecting parts, locate items, and process payments, delivering friendly, professional service.

Responsibilities

• Assists all customers (retail and wholesale) in selecting required parts in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner.
• Reviews body shop estimates to ensure ordered parts are correct and pricing aligns with the estimate.
• Pulls and fills orders from stock.
• Notifies parts manager of out-of-stock parts.
• Locates out-of-stock parts from an outside source and submits an emergency order, if necessary.
• Follows up on back-ordered parts.
• Replenishes assigned inventory daily.
• Ensures internal requests for parts are billed on service repair orders.
• Processes payment from retail customers or obtains credit authorization.
• Issues and tracks requested shop tools to technicians.
• Keeps orderly records of all repair orders, invoices, insurance estimates, and special-order parts.
• Sets up orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pick-up.
• Stays current with new products and product updates.
• Helps the Parts Manager maintain a lost sales tracking program.
• Other duties as assigned.

Parts Advisor Job Description

The Huffines Parts Counter Representative is knowledgeable about automotive products and can accurately answer questions and satisfy customer requirements in person or on the phone. He or she assists customers in selecting required parts or accessories in a friendly, professional manner. He or she locates automotive products within the current inventory or from other sources (such as the internet, vendors, other dealerships, etc.) ensures all documentation is completed accurately and timely, and processes payments as needed.
