Qualifications

• Formal training in automotive painting
• Minimum five years of automotive painting experience
• Must have a valid state driver’s license
• Must be able to pass a background check and any required security clearance
• Demonstrated understanding of Safety and OSHA regulations

Responsibilities

• Coat surfaces of vehicles with paint, lacquer, epoxy, resin, or other materials using brushes, rollers, or spray devices
• Remove old paint with appropriate removers and scrapers
• Smooth surfaces with sandpaper and steel wool for good adhesion
• Roughen aluminum surfaces to promote paint adhesion
• Mask and cover areas not to be painted and stencil insignia or lettering as required
