Job summary

AutoNation is seeking a Paint Technician to professionally prepare and paint vehicle body parts, ensuring surfaces are properly prepped, rust removed, and masking completed for precise color matching.

You will follow factory and dealership procedures, operate collision-center equipment safely, and maintain high-quality craftsmanship while contributing to a positive customer experience.

Qualifications

• Two years of automotive experience required.
• ICAR or OEM certification preferred or willing to become certified.
• Valid in-state driver's license with clean record.
• Ability to operate a vehicle safely.

Responsibilities

• Assess damaged areas and prepare for painting, including rust removal and masking.
• Prepare color tint to match or blend paint.
• Paint vehicles with high efficiency and quality using sprayer or brush.
• Follow factory and dealership procedures during warranty work.
• Operate collision center equipment safely per PPE standards.
• Inspect craftsmanship quality and identify runs, sags, or unpainted areas.
• Mix paints and chemicals per manufacturer directions.
• Follow OSHA and other regulations affecting collision center operations.
• Gain product knowledge to provide high-quality repairs.
