Job summary

Advanced Auto Technology is seeking Mobile Service Technicians to perform air conditioning service and automotive repairs, on-site scanning support, wire repairs, and diagnostics within their market area. You will deliver excellent customer service, explain diagnoses, and work with shop personnel, customers, and insurers as needed.

Ideal candidates have at least 3 years in automotive repair, trade school experience, and ASE/I-CAR certifications.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years automotive repair experience.
• Trade school experience a plus.
• ASE or I-CAR certifications a plus.
• Knowledge of diagnostic scan tools and factory software.
• Obtain AC certification & follow safety standards.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform air conditioning evacuation and recharge.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical repairs.
• Understand and complete estimating, invoicing, part identification, pre and post quality control checklists.
• Explain technical diagnoses and repair planning to shop personnel, insurers, and customers.
• Utilize various tools and diagnostic equipment to make effective recommendations.
• Test drive vehicles after repairs are completed.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Customer service focused, ability to develop relationships and deliver operational consistency
• PerformAir Conditioning Evacuation & Recharge
• Troubleshootand diagnosemechanical and electricalrepairs
• Understand and complete estimating, invoicing, part identification, pre and post quality control checklists
• Adequately explain technical diagnoses and repair planning needs to include shop personnel, insurance adjusters, and customers
• Utilize various tools, diagnostic equipment, and Virtual support team resources to make the most effective recommendations
• Test drive vehicles after repairs are completed
• Check all parts for quality and accuracy before installing
• Complete assigned training and certifications, to include continuing education courses
• Communicate with field team to ensure efficiency and productivity
• Maintain a well-organized work area
• Responsible for ensuring tooling software updates are completed immediately
• Accountable for assigned inventory
• Including: Laptops, OE scan tools, VCI, other equipment provided
• Develop and maintain excellent customer relationships through our company purpose and core values

Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must have a valid driver’s license and ability to pass MVR check
• Ability to pass abackground check
• Must be able to lift60 pounds independently
• Travel may be required for continuing education and certification training
• Requires standing for extended periods of time with frequent stretching, reaching, walking, and stooping
• Requires frequent driving of company and customer vehicles
• Extensive travel within assigned areais expected
• May have exposure to fumes, dust,and chemicals
• Ability to work in a shop environmentin inclement weather
• Required to wear PPE to include but not limited to facial covering, eye protection, gloves
