BARR’S AUTO REPAIR in Independence, MO is seeking an Automotive Technician / Mechanic for a full-time role. You will diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicles, perform oil changes, and conduct drivability diagnostics to ensure guest satisfaction.

We value a positive attitude, professional appearance, and strong communication. Requirements include 2+ years of experience, ability to obtain a Missouri Vehicle Inspection license, and you must provide your own tools.

Qualifications

• Must have or be able to obtain a Missouri Vehicle Inspection license.
• 2+ years of experience as an automotive technician/mechanic.
• Capable of diagnosing and repairing all makes/models of vehicles.
• Must provide own tools.
• A1-A8 ASE certifications are preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and fix vehicles for guests.

We are looking for Automotive technicians who are energetic, upbeat, and have a positive attitude. The technicians we are looking for mustbe able to seek out solutions to tough problems with a strong passion for doing what’s right for our guests.

Responsibilities

• Technicians use their knowledge & skills to diagnose and fix vehicles for our guests
• Be able to perform a wide range of services from Oil changes to full drivability diagnostics and repair
• Continuously build experience as an automotive mechanic across a wide range of domestic and foreign vehicles
• Complete full, accurate, and honest courtesy vehicle inspections
• Work independently to troubleshoot guest concerns quickly and effectively
• Follow and promote our high standards of safety, cleanliness, and organization
• Work together when needed with other Technicians to solve problems to help meet deadlines

Physical Requirements

• Have a valid state issued driver’s license
• Drive manual transmissions vehicles
• Occasionally lift and/or move over 100 pounds
• Be able to work with tools on vehicles lifted above their head
• Work in tight spaces as dictated by the vehicle’s needed repair
• Have the needed ability to efficiently use hand tools
• Walk/stand for most of their workday
