Job summary

NTB / Mavis Tires & Brakes at Discount Prices is seeking full-time Automotive Mechanics to join Team Mavis at one of our state-of-the-art centers in the Norfolk, VA area. You will inspect, diagnose and perform a wide range of undercar repairs including brakes, struts, and shocks, and you will conduct state inspections and routine maintenance.

Responsibilities include changing oil and filters, checking fluids, replacing worn parts and tire mounting/dismounting, balancing.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• 2 years of automotive repair experience and/or training.
• Extensive toolbox of personal tools.
• State inspection license(s) preferred.
• ASE Certifications in G1 / A4 / A5 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose and perform a wide variety of automotive services.
• Undercar repairs including brakes, struts and shocks.
• Perform state-mandated inspections and routine maintenance (oil & filters, fluids).
• Replace worn parts and tires (dismount/mount, rotate, balance).
• Maintain safety and quality standards through thorough workmanship.
