Job Title: Automotive Mechanic/Technician

Pay Range: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour guaranteed, based on experience; flat rate between $35.00 - $45.00 per hour.

As an Automotive Technician at Monro, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining guests’ vehicles. From day one, you will participate in a comprehensive training program to develop your skills. Your role involves performing repair services, ensuring guest satisfaction, and maintaining safety and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Perform brakes, suspension, tire installation, scheduled maintenance, and other automotive repairs within your qualifications.
• Obtain guest approval before performing work based on diagnosis; maintain a clean work area.
• Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and perform necessary repairs and maintenance.
• Test drive vehicles and safely use shop equipment for inventory pickup as needed.
• Collaborate and provide leadership to General Service Technicians.

Minimum Qualifications

• 2+ years of automotive technician experience
• Valid Driver’s License
• Own basic automotive tools or participate in the tool purchase program
• Ability to work with hands overhead, stand for long periods, lift 50 lbs.
• Guest and team-focused mindset
• Maintain an Automotive Technician State Inspector’s license, if applicable

Preferred Qualifications

• ASE certification (A1-A8)
• Automotive Technician State Inspector License
• Technical school certificate or degree
