Job Description

Automotive Mechanic/Technician

Pay: $18 to $20 per hour, with a guarantee and potential for additional incentives based on experience and certifications.

As an Automotive Technician at Monro, you will perform diagnosis, repair, and maintenance on guest vehicles, starting with comprehensive training from day one. Your role is vital in delivering 5-star guest experiences, ensuring safety and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Perform brakes, suspension, tire installation, scheduled maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs within your qualifications.
• Secure guest approval for work, maintain a clean work area, and complete thorough vehicle inspections.
• Test drive vehicles and assist with inventory pickups using shop vehicles.
• Collaborate and provide leadership to team members.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• 2+ years of automotive repair experience
• Valid Driver’s License
• Own basic automotive tools or participate in tool purchase program
• Ability to lift 50 lbs, work with hands overhead, and stand for long periods
• Guest and team-focused mindset
• Maintain Automotive Technician State Inspector’s license, if applicable

Preferred Qualifications

• ASE certification (A1-A8)
• Automotive Technician State Inspector License
• Technical school certificate or degree
