Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Vocational or professional diploma preferred
• 4+ years of combined classroom training and work experience
• Non-commercial driver license (Class E)
• Valid CDL Class A preferred
• State driver’s license as required
• Ability to understand and adhere to company policies, build professional relationships, work independently and in teams, demonstrate customer service skills, and communicate effectively
• Capable of multi-tasking and highly organized
• Complete preventive maintenance (PM230 & PM298) within 90 days
• Complete brake repairs (air brakes BA220 & BA298) within 90 days
• Inspect and repair hydraulic brakes (BH220 & BH298) where appropriate within 90 days
• Perform tire and wheel services (TW220) within 90 days
• Train and qualify in A/C (AC220 & AC298) within 180 days
• Battery charging and warranty knowledge
• HD electrical (DR208) within 90 days
• Support SBTIII and SBT Phase 2 training (SBT220) within 180 days
• Complete OEM online engine courses (minimum 2)
• Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent organizational skills

• Note: This position requires driving Ryder vehicles. You must pass a Ryder drug test, DOT physical, road test, and background checks, including motor vehicle record checks for the past 3 years.

Important: Additional requirements may be needed depending on location and account.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnosis, repairs, inspections, and preventative maintenance for non-contractual customers
• Perform routine vehicle maintenance such as tune-ups, oil changes, tire changes, fluid checks, alignments, suspension, and light/mirror replacements
• Diagnose, repair, or replace engines, transmissions, and fuel components
• Inspect and repair hydraulic brakes
• Operate mobile maintenance vehicles and travel within the region as needed
• Understand and represent Torque/Ryder products and services
• Document work orders and repairs accurately in Salesforce
• Perform environmental duties like site inspections and chemical handling
• Comply with all federal, regional, and corporate guidelines
• Perform other duties as assigned
