Job summary

NTB / Mavis Tires & Brakes is hiring Automotive Mechanics / Certified Safety Inspectors at our Gloucester, VA location. The role combines state inspections with undercar repairs, tire work and maintenance tasks to deliver high-quality service.

We offer a guaranteed base rate plus weekly bonus payments, including a $10 commission for every state inspection completed. Join a fast-paced team focused on safety, accuracy and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• must be at least 18 years old
• legally authorized to work in the United States
• valid Virginia driver’s license
• Virginia Motor Vehicle Safety Inspector license
• minimum of one year of experience as an automotive mechanic and/or completion of an approved training program

Responsibilities

• Complete state-mmandated vehicle inspections and perform undercar repairs and services such as brakes, struts and shocks, oil changes and tire work.
• Stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, pull and reach as part of vehicle maintenance and repair tasks.
